That last post was my mother. She had been telling me to describe “How it all began” since I started this blog, but she got impatient and wrote it herself. I thought about rewriting it, but it is much easier to just tell people that she wrote it. Anyway, that’s how it all began! Hurrah! Hurrah! Yay! yay! Now back to the fundraising.
Today was our first time out selling as a group. We stationed our (adorable!) little booths near the front entrances. No worries, we had permission from the owners. I’ll admit, there were times when I felt like jumping on top of our table and screaming like a deranged monkey…but people were usually very generous. Of course, we met the occasional acrimonious vegetarian who made it clear that they were insulted by the fact that we had the audacity to trick them into buying a repugnant slab of meat! Well, if we had known they were vegetarians, of course we wouldn’t approach them! Well, I apologize to all those vegetarians I have insulted, but next time, could you possibly advertise that you are a vegetarian? At least wear a carrot on your shirt or something.
Anyway, It was a “good experience” —–frequently spoken quote by dad; said after the completion of anything requiring strenous mental or physical output. SOOOOO happy days.
